Why come to the Presbyterian Theological College?

All colleges have their strengths and distinctives. At PTC we are no exception. Here are some of the reasons to choose to come study and train with us:

We have a strong commitment to the written Word of God, the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. As a result our classes encourage a mastery of the biblical languages, exegesis of the biblical texts, and serious reflection on the great concepts and truths of Scripture in biblical and systematic theology.

We aim to combine heads, hearts and hands in a balanced and integrated approach to Christian worship and service. In this way we hope to avoid the extremes of cold intellectualism on the one hand and shallow enthusiasm on the other.

Our faculty are all experienced leaders who have known the pressures of pastoral ministry and the ongoing demands of biblical scholarship. They bring to the classroom a wealth of Christian knowledge, practical wisdom and pastoral care.

We have a particular commitment to the historical theology of the Reformation and post-Reformation periods that have done so much to shape the classical Evangelical faith that has come down to us today.

We foster a clear missionary vision of Christian outreach both in Australia and around the world. We rejoice in the diverse ethnicity of our students and the need for global vision in studying and relating the whole Gospel to the whole world for the whole people of God.
