Who We Are
We are a church based college (Presbyterian) with a very firm reformed and Protestant position. We hold to the inerrancy and authority of God's written revelation in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. . Our confession of faith is expressed by the Westminster Confession of Faith (1647). We teach all of our subjects with the pastoral and preaching ministry in view, and expect all students to have a vital connection with a local church in which they are engaged in some form of practical ministry. Our denomination's position does not allow for women's ordination. However, women are encouraged to study theology and train for appropriate ministries, the leadership in the church and the regular office of pastor-preacher is for qualified males only.

Accreditation & Recognition
Our College is recognised and authorised to offer Australian College Of Theology (ACT) awards under the Victorian Government Department of Education, Employment and Training (DEET) Higher Education Office. The Director of Higher Education has authorised the PTC to deliver its ACT awards under the Tertiary Education Act 1993.

This Government approval from DEET means that our ACT awards attract, for eligible persons, Centrelink’s provision of Youth Allowance, Austudy Payment, ABSTUDY and Pensioner Education Supplement.Further, our Victorian Government approval also means that PTC’s courses are registered with the Federal Government’s Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), under the ESOS Act 2000. Being on the CRICOS register means that our courses can attract qualified overseas students and satisfy both Federal Government departments: DIMIA and DEST.

Theological Education Committee
The control of the College is vested by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria in the Theological Education Committee. This committee, of which Rev Neil Chambers is the current convener, meets regularly at the College. It also has responsibility for the candidacy of students for their course of training for the ordained ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria.

The College is situated on one campus and conducts classes in a modern well-appointed facility with six residential units, functional seminar rooms, common room, and kitchen. The campus is surrounded by pleasant gardens and has convenient access from the Eastern Freeway.
